Getting to know the works of an artist, you start with the simple easy to understand works that are the most popular. Then as you grow interest and understanding you expand into the more complex works and get to know the artist more deeply.
That is how the Bible, the word of God is.
God has given us an art work that can satisfy our intellect for an entire lifetime.
We are drawn to the things that are easy to understand and we were possibly lead to them by someone a round us. Those verses satisfy the need for the moment and as we mature and get comfortable with that understanding we should desire to know more deeply the things of God through scripture. We can spend a lifetime in study and still find more. The more we know the work of Jesus the more we want to him more deeply.
