This event started in 2013 when it was thrown together as one last joy ride for Russell "Pops" Creekmore. The route we take, the Ferry Run, was one of Pop's favorite rides. That year we raised a whopping $175 for Pops. After his 3rd battle with lung cancer, Pops became our rider with wings, January 21, 2014. We strongly believe that he will never lose his battle as long as we are still fighting in his name. That is why each year we select a local cancer warrior as our recipient to fight for. Freebird Memorial Group has made tremendous impact thanks to the support of local sponsors generosity, support of our partners and our community volunteers. Core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of partnerships and events we take part in. Harley Davidson
Our 2024 warrior
Harley Davidson- Stage 2 throat cancer as well as stage 4 emphysema and diabetes. Treatments chemo and radiation. Truck driver with wife on disability. Unable to work due to side effects of tumors and treatment. Harley has been voted as our main recipient this year and we plan to do our best to show him the love of Jesus. It’s not just about money. We need your help in showing the people in our community that people care. That God shows his love through his believers to others. Come out to our events and support those who are the most vulnerable in our community. We just want to shine a light into their darkness and be the hands and feet of Jesus everywhere.

FREEBIRD MEMORIAL RIDE
Showing Love to our Community
Our annual ride is a community celebration hosted in honor of our recipient for the year. We remember those who have gone on before us and celebrate their life. We spend the day out as a family enjoying the day with a ride through the countryside with lunch at the dam.

Change for the Better
We are continuing to grow. We are looking forward to developing new relationships with other groups and always looking for new members. We love how God continues to work and open up new opportunities for us to serve. We have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Freebird Memorial Group, and a source of much success for our Charity.
FREEBIRD MEMORIAL GROUP BENEFIT RIDE
Transforming Lives
This benefit ride is in memory of Russell “Pops” Creekmore. It is a great day of fun and fellowship. It is a wonderful relaxing ride. The route runs from Portland Generation Church up Hwy 52 to Lafayette on to Tompkinsville, KY to the Cumberland Ferry then on to Celina, TN and then back to Portland. There will be plenty of stops to break and eat along the way. Any kind of transportation is welcome, motorcycles, hot rods, magic carpets, etc.
There will be a chase vehicle with trailer.
Proceeds generated from this ride all benefit this years cancer recipient.
