The Love of Good Friday

I am not writing hoping that people will read then things I write but I am getting a lot out of publishing my thoughts. I just feeling really humbled this morning.
The amount of Love the God that created the world has for you and me I can’t imagine the depths. No body can deserve that kind of Love, Grace, Mercy. The sin that separates us from God is embedded deep in us. But God made a way, a permanent perfect sacrificial offering as the punishment for our sins. God Loves us so much that he sent the Word, Jesus, God himself in the flesh to live in the world with us. He lived in the world same as us to know us and the trouble we go through but to do it sinless and allowing himself to be put to death on a cross for my sin, for your sin.
““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
John 3:16-18 ESV
“Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.”

I read this prayer this morning I believe it’s very fitting for how I feel this morning…
Jesus,
I grieve that the torture and sorrow You endured on the cross were necessary to save humanity. You didn’t want us enslaved to fear, anxiety, or sin—so You sacrificed Yourself so that Love could win.
It’s Love that hung upon the cross and gave up everything to rescue us. “It is finished” was a cry of victory, because You defeated everything that held us in captivity.
Because of Your sacrifice, I can experience intimacy with You forever. Thank You! Show me how to share Your love today and every day.
Use me to reach the world You died to redeem.
Thank you Jesus for making a way for me to have a relationship with you. As I travel through this life long journey with you, this journey of transformation show me how I miss the mark. Show me how I have sinned against you. Forgive me Lord. Help me to be more like you everyday. Help me to be a reflection of you in my family, in my job, to all the people that I come in contact with. Help me to Love the world as you do. Help me to see the world through your eyes. Less of me and more of you. Amen
